Ramin Djawadi is the man behind the Game of Thrones scores. The new season is here, and we rescue for you the A Story in Score video.

Within the video, Djawadi talks through the journey of composing the score of the shows, and he mentions the film that inspired him to create such memorable themes on the series.

The Rains of Castamere (Season 2 Episode 9 ending song) is a song which immortalizes the destruction of House Reyne of Castamere by Tywin Lannister.

Lyrics

And who are you, the proud lord said,
that I must bow so low?
Only a cat of a different coat,
that’s all the truth I know.
In a coat of gold or a coat of red,
a lion still has claws,
And mine are long and sharp, my lord,
as long and sharp as yours.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke,
that Lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o’er his hall,
with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o’er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

We are fans of this song, and you?
