The Highway HI FI was available in Chrysler products in 1956 and 1957 as a factory or dealer ordered option. They mounted under the dash and played through the cars radio and speakers using the cars radio amplifier and volume controls. The records were they size of a 45 but played at 16 2/3 rpm.
