The Doors’ B-sides

You know that 2017 is the 50th anniversary of the release of the self-titled debut album by The Doors. Rhino has been celebrating this occasion with several new releases and reissues, the last one is The Doors’ THE SINGLES, a collection which is being released in four – count ‘em – four different formats:

  • 7-Inch Vinyl Box – All 20 U.S. singles with their corresponding B-sides on twenty 7-inch vinyl 45s with original sleeve art and labels, presented in an ornate, lift-top box. Limited to 10,000 copies worldwide.  This set collects the rare single versions from all of the band’s landmark studio albums, including:
    • Light My Fire – Original Mono Single Edit
    • Unknown Soldier – Original Unique Mono Mix/Edit
    • Love Me Two Times – Single Edit
    • Touch MeOriginal Unique Stereo Single Mix

    All selections have been remastered from the original analog single masters by the band’s longtime engineer/mixer Bruce Botnick. As a bonus, the box also contains a poster featuring singles covers from around the globe. Each Singles Box is individually numbered and limited edition.

  • 2-CD – All 20 U.S. singles with their corresponding B-sides, plus four mono radio versions.
  • 2-CD/Blu-ray – All the content from 2-CD version plus the 1973 compilation The Best Of The Doors in Quad on Blu-ray for the first time.
  • Digital download.
