“Culture Shock was born in 2006 as a little midwest punk shop. Over the years it has turned into a great place for shopping for harder to find men’s and women’s clothing, funky knick knacks and gifts, kitschy housewares, and best of all vinyl records. Culture Shock is now 1/2 Rock N Roll Boutique and 1/2 Record Store.
Since 2006 when Culture Shock opened, owner, Skyler Davis, has changed a lot and so has the store! Skyler used to be ALL METAL/HARDCORE, 100% of the time. As Skyler grows, his music interests have changed, his dreads’ length has changed, his clothing has changed, but Skyler will always be Skyler! Skyler loves talking music, his favs are blues and psych currently, hanging out in a chill environment with friends, drinking CocaCola, and spending time learning about music constantly or hanging with his wife Lauren!
Lauren is Skyler’s wife and Culture Shock guru. In addition to co-owning Culture Shock and managing all of Culture Shock’s social media, Lauren owns a graphic design company, Lauren Davis Creative, where she helps local businesses create custom branding. Lauren’s LOVES include Girl-Singers, Clothing, Owls, and is a workaholic!”
